I apologise for intruding in this, but Mr.Woodward called to see me a day or two ago and inter alia emphasised the importance of getting authority soon for at least the preliminary and investigation work necessary for this scheme. His point was that this preliminary work has to be done in the dry season commencing in September and unless authority is obtained very soon a whole year will be lost. You will no doubt be thinking it appropriate to remind the Treasury with reference to No. 12 fairly soon and may like to mention that point as an additional argument efor prompt decision.
